You can potentially learn every spell in the game if you get a scroll but since you can only prepare a few and don't have ritual casting this isn't as good as you would think. The game is limited to lower levels where Wizard kind of get bitch slapped anyway if your not careful. Wizards are missing a lot of their best spells and they don't have ritual casting. Warlock has Eldrich Blast and the best familiar in the game so they are pretty great for damage, utility, and serving as a party face.įor classes to avoid Wizard, Eldritch Knight Fighter, and Cleric have all been pretty massively nerfed. Thief Rogue has been changed so that they get two bonus actions so dual wield rapiers is crazy good for damage dealing (3 attacks per round at lvl 3), mobility (jump/disengage and dash as bonus actions), and self healing (drink potion is a bonus action). Right now the strongest classes are Battle Master Fighter, Thief Rogue, and Warlock.īattle Master is just stupidly powerful at low levels and it is basically unchanged from the PHB so it is really good.
